Modern life makes it increasingly difficult to maintain an ideal physique. With demanding work schedules, limited time for exercise, and easy access to high-calorie foods, excess fat naturally begins to accumulate in our bodies. These stubborn fat deposits typically gather in specific problem areas such as the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks, affecting both your appearance and self-confidence.
That is the problem that can be solved by advanced liposuction solution such as Liposonix . This advanced ultrasound-assisted technique offers a modern solution to gently and safely remove excess fat tissue from your body, helping you achieve a slimmer, more contoured silhouette.

What Is Abdominal Liposuction? Liposuction Methods Available Today
Abdominal liposuction is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to remove excess fat from the abdomen and waist to create more attractive body contours. The process involves breaking down or liquefying excess fat in these areas and suctioning it out of the body. Several techniques are available to break down fat before removal.
1. Traditional Liposuction
In traditional liposuction, a cannula is inserted into the fatty tissue through a small skin incision. The surgeon moves the cannula back and forth to mechanically break down the fat. The loosened fat is then suctioned out through the same incision. One disadvantage of this method is that mechanically breaking down fat can cause considerable swelling and pain, resulting in a longer recovery period.
Furthermore, because the procedure involves a cannula, it requires an experienced surgeon. Improper technique may result in internal organ perforation or uneven fat removal, causing contour irregularities and an uneven skin surface.

2. Water-Jet-Assisted Liposuction (Body-Jet)
Water-jet-assisted liposuction involves inserting a specialized cannula through a small skin incision. The cannula delivers a high-pressure stream of water to break down fat cells, as with the Body-Jet system. Once the fat has been loosened, it is suctioned out through the same incision. The disadvantage of this technique is that using a water-jet cannula to break down fat may cause more swelling and pain than Liposonix. Uneven fat removal may also result in contour irregularities.
3. Laser-Assisted Liposuction (Laser Lipo)
The limitation of laser-assisted fat reduction is that laser energy primarily destroys superficial fat cells. Therefore, this technique is effective mainly for small, superficial fat deposits in areas such as the chin, arms, and underarms, but is not effective for larger fat deposits in areas such as the abdomen. In addition, heat generated by laser energy may cause burns or tissue necrosis in surrounding structures. For this reason, laser-assisted fat liquefaction is less commonly used.
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction involves inserting a specialized cannula through a small skin incision. The cannula emits ultrasonic energy to break down fat cells. Once the fat has been liquefied, it is suctioned out through the same incision. The disadvantage of this method is that using an ultrasound-emitting cannula to break down fat may cause more swelling and pain than Liposonix.
To overcome the limitations of the previously mentioned techniques, Liposonix technology was developed using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) energy. This is currently the only fat-liquefaction method that does not require a cannula. Instead, the doctor uses a specialized applicator that delivers pulses of high-intensity focused ultrasound energy through the skin. The ultrasound energy is precisely focused on destroying excess fat cells approximately 10 mm beneath the skin's surface while preserving the superficial fat layer immediately below the skin. This helps prevent contour irregularities associated with cannula-based techniques. The focused ultrasound energy does not damage the skin, nerves, blood vessels, or surrounding tissues.
In addition, focused ultrasound stimulates collagen production to improve skin firmness in patients with mild to moderate excess abdominal skin. This is considered one of the latest fat-reduction methods, offering a gentler, safer treatment experience with less swelling and pain while achieving the desired results.
Disadvantages
The Liposonix system is very expensive (US$200,000) so relatively few facilities invest in this equipment, and Liposonix fat-reduction treatments are more expensive than other methods.
What Is the Difference Between Lipo Ultrasound Liposuction and Liposonix Ultrasound Abdominal Fat Reduction?
The term "Lipo Ultrasound" refers to liposuction (Lipo) using ultrasound technology (Ultrasound). Lipo Ultrasound technology was first invented and manufactured by the American company LipoSonix, giving rise to the Liposonix ultrasound liposuction system. Due to the outstanding effectiveness of Liposonix, many other manufacturers subsequently copied this American Lipo Ultrasound technology. In particular, Chinese manufacturers have produced imitation devices such as Cavi-Lipo, Liposunix Ultrasound, Lipo Ultrasound Smart, and Lipo Ultrasound Cavitation. However, these Chinese-manufactured imitation devices are completely ineffective.

Therefore, before undergoing ultrasound-assisted fat reduction, patients should understand the characteristics of the American Liposonix ultrasound fat-reduction system. If you undergo ultrasound-based fat reduction using other Chinese-manufactured devices, such as Cavi-Lipo, Lipo Ultrasound Smart, Lipo Ultrasound Cavitation, or Liposonix Ultrasound, you may not achieve the desired results.
The Most Effective Non-Surgical Liposuction Solution - Just 60 Minutes with Liposonix
Options for fat removal treatment with Liposonix.
Liposonix uses high-intensity focused ultrasound energy to liquefy fat cells. This ultrasound energy penetrates the skin and into the fat cells without damaging surrounding cells. There are two options for you to choose from.
1. Non-invasive method.
After liquefying fat with Liposonix, the excess fat tissue will be liquefied and gradually removed through natural metabolism process within 8 weeks.
The advantages of this procedure is Non-invasive (Non-surgical liposuction).
The downside is that you have to follow a diet for 8 weeks to gradually eliminate the liquefied fat. If you don't stick to the diet, the liquefied fat won't be fully expelled as desired, and the results of fat loss won't meet expectations.
2. Minimal-invasive method.
After liquefying fat with Liposonix, the surgeon will make a small incision in the lower area (where the underwear hides) and suck out all the liquefied fat.
Advantages of this solution.
All excess fat will be removed immediately, with immediate effect. You do not need to follow a diet for 8 weeks like the above solution. At the same time, if you want to use your excess fat to transfer to the chest, buttocks, face, etc. It will last forever.
Minimal disadvantages.
This surgery is a minimally invasive method with a small incision and does not leave a scar.

After ultrasound liposuction surgery.
- For ultrasound liposuction, you have to wear a compression garment for 2 weeks to help the excess skin tighten and shrink.
- After a week, you can do light exercise like jogging, after 2 weeks you can do other exercises such as abdominal exercise or yoga.
The procedure of ultrasound liposuction.
- The patient will be checked for all preoperative tests.
- The ultrasonic liposuction procedure must be performed in the operating room.
Anesthesia method in ultrasonic liposuction.
- The treatment is performed under either Local anesthesia or General anesthesia.
- During the procedure, the surgeon will use an ultrasonic probe to liquefy excess fat areas, then make a small 2 mm incision in the skin and the doctor will directly suction out the excess fat that has been liquefied by ultrasound.
How is six-pack (abdominal etching) liposuction performed?
To create a six-pack (abdominal etching), the doctor will first consult with the patient. Before performing liposuction, and depending on the patient’s preferences, the doctor will proceed accordingly to these protocols:
- If the client is someone who doesn’t exercise regularly, during liposuction the doctor will leave a certain amount of fat in the pre-marked six-pack areas. After the procedure, the abdominal region will show a defined six-pack.The advantage of this method is that the patient can have a six-pack without needing to work out. However, the downside is that these “abs” are created from fat, so while they may look like a six-pack from a distance, up close they won’t appear as natural as those developed through exercise.
- If the client is someone who exercises regularly, during abdominal liposuction the doctor will remove most of the fat layer close to the skin to better reveal the underlying muscles. About two weeks after the procedure, the client can resume working out, allowing the abdominal muscles to become more defined and form a visible six-pack.The advantage of this approach is that the client can achieve a well-defined, natural-looking six-pack similar to one developed through gym training. The only minor downside is that the client needs to continue exercising to fully reveal and maintain the six-pack.
What is the difference between six-pack (abdominal etching) liposuction and achieving a six-pack through exercise?
- To achieve a six-pack through gym training, a person must follow a strict diet and undergo intense workouts to reduce the layer of fat beneath the skin; only then can the abdominal muscles become clearly visible.
- The six-pack (abdominal etching) liposuction method helps remove the layer of fat close to the skin without the need for strict dieting or intense training. Patients only need to combine it with moderate exercise to achieve a defined six-pack physique.
Post-operative care after ultrasonic liposuction.
- After ultrasound liposuction, you will wear a specialized compression for one or two weeks.
- You can return to normal work after a day and heavy work after a week of liposuction.
- Thigh liposuction, arm liposuction, armpit liposuction, double chin liposuction, back liposuction, are performed exactly like abdominal liposuction but simpler.
When you have a lot of thigh fat, arm fat, armpit fat, double chin fat, back fat, it often comes with a lot of belly fat, so when liposuction is mostly combined with abdominal liposuction. If abdominal liposuction takes an hour, thigh liposuction, arm liposuction, double chin liposuction, back liposuction each area only takes 15 minutes and you only need to wear a specialized bandage for that area for a week.
